Living in Grand County, I’ve been on the search for the best restaurants in Fraser, Colorado since 2017. So I’ve got some opinions to share! I’m going to try to keep this list focused only on restaurants in the town of Fraser, but keep in mind – Fraser, Colorado is a wonderfully small town, so honestly there aren’t a ton of options to begin with.
Top 3 best restaurants in Fraser, Colorado:
- Fuego Azteca $$: Best Mexican food
- Fisher’s Bar $: Best bar food
- Tabernash Tavern $$$: (technically in Tabernash, not Fraser, but too amazing not to list here)

Best Restaurants in Fraser for breakfast
Rocky Mountain Roastery Cafe
This is my top pick, personally. I love their coffee drinks there, I’ve never had anything I don’t like. But it’s worth noting that this is more of coffee shop than a full restaurant. Although they do always have a spread of baked goods, breakfast burritos, soups and sandwiches.

Sharky’s Eatery
I’m including Sharky’s here because I do know A LOT of locals swear by Sharky’s, and I can’t deny that their food is very, very, very good. They do have the best selection for breakfast in Fraser – but physically and logistically, being in there sends my anxiety through the roof because it is a very small, crowded, cramped space.
If that’s likely to bother you as well, try to snag outdoor seating or maybe order something to go and find a picnic table by the ponds across the street.

Vicious Cycle Brewing
This is technically a brewery and they don’t serve food themselves, but almost always have an amazing food truck in the parking lot! So this is one of my favorite spots to go for good beer, great outdoor seating and some snacks from whichever food truck happens to be there.
Fraser River Beer Company
This is a similar setup, they are technically a brewery and don’t serve food themselves, but also always have a food truck parked nearby. It’s a cute little spot for beer and light food right in downtown Fraser.
Best restaurants in Fraser for dinner
Fuego Azteca
Fuego Azteca in Fraser (not to be confused with the Granby Azteca location) is my go-to spot for Mexican food. They’re just the best, that is all.
Fisher’s Bar
Fisher’s has got some dive bar vibes going on and provides that perfectly fried, comfort, bar food you need every once in a while. Be sure to get the cheese curds. 😉
Tabernash Tavern
This is one of the nicer restaurants in Grand County, and will likely be more expensive than many others – but it is worth every penny!! Also, reservations may be required or at least recommended. They always have unique, phenomenal dishes and amazing drinks with a large wine selection.
Favorite restaurants in Granby
Fitch’s Market
This place is bomb! It’s one of my favorite sit-down spots for breakfast or brunch, although they do more than breakfast. If you drink – be sure to try the bloody mary.
Java Lava
Java Lava is also a top choice for breakfast. Their green chili is pretty amazing – to get burritos or any other dish smothered in green chili is highly recommended.
But typically, Java Lava is the place we go to get burritos and coffee to go before heading into Rocky Mountain National Park or to take for a picnic breakfast on Lake Granby.
Granby Garage
The Granby Garage is a great place to stop for lunch or dinner. While they are listed as a “sports bar” much of their menu has a Mexican twist – which is amazing!
Favorite restaurants in Winter Park
Namaste India
Hands down, my favorite Indian restaurant, and honestly just my favorite place to go out for dinner overall because the food is always amazing, great portions, great wine, and the service and staff are the best in the county BY FAR.
I’ve never gotten slapped with a Grand County Surprise here at Namaste India. IYKYK.
Adventures Decanted
If you love wine and like to try lots of different wines – this is the place for you. They always have great food on a seasonal menu. Highly recommend this place for a girl’s night out or date night.
Hernando’s
Hernando’s is a unique local bar and pizza place. Would definitely recommend Hernando’s for a laid-back, relaxed dinner out.
