A garden gnome can be found on the left side of the zombie base, just passed the multiplayer portal. It's on the ground near a tombstone.

A garden gnome can be found at the top of the soccer (football) field's scoreboard near the plant's base. Use a Peashooter with the hyper ability or a Foot Soldier with the rocket jump ability to reach it.

A garden gnome can be found inside of a large pipe to the right of the docks.

A garden gnome can be found within the sewers. It is hidden behind a pipe across from the upper catwalk. It's above and a little to the right of the mysterious fish. Use a Foot Soldier with the rocket jump ability to reach it.

Another garden gnome can be found within the sewers. It's near the second entrance/exit by the docks. Follow the long path to a dead end. The gnome will be behind a barred door.

More garden gnomes can be found after completing story quests as a plant and a zombie. These areas will not open up until certain quests are completed.

Plant Quests

After completing the first quest to open the garage door, you can find a garden gnome to the left of the car.

Go into Agent Citron's base once you have an orb to open up the portal. The garden gnome can be found on the ground floor beneath the ramp to Agent Citron.

Go into Agent Rose's base once you have an orb to open up the portal. Shoot the tile with the mushroom on it to the right of the fountain. This will reveal the hidden garden gnome.

Go into Agent Corn's base once you have an orb to open up the portal. Complete all of his quests and he will open up a gate to a treasure chest. Follow a small path to the right of the chest to find a garden gnome.

After completing all the quests from the three agents, you will find a secret area beneath the garage. Follow the path through a waterfall. Look for another tile with a mushroom on it to the left of the entrance. Shoot this tile to reveal the hidden garden gnome.

Zombie Quests

Go to Super Duper Brainz's base once you have an orb to open up the portal. A garden gnome is hidden behind Super Duper Brainz, near the large statue.

Go to Imp and Z-Mech's base once you have an orb to open up the portal. A garden gnome can be found on the right side of the room.

Go to Ol' Deadbeard's base once you have an orb to open up the portal. A garden gnome can be found near his bed.

After completing those three characters' quests, Dr. Patient will open up a portal to a new area. A garden gnome can be found above the portal on the other end. Use a Foot Soldier with the rocket jump ability to reach it.

The next set of garden gnomes can be found in Ops maps or most Multiplayer maps. The only Multiplayer game mode these gnomes cannot be found on are in the Turf Takeover maps. Those gnomes are in the next section of this guide. The best way to find these is to play a solo game with no players on either team. Alternatively, you can start a solo ops game and not set a garden or tombstone. This will prevent the game from starting and allow you to search freely.

Zen Peak

The first gnome can be found up a few rocks in the corner of the map. It's hidden behind a small tree.

The second gnome can be found behind a waterfall. This waterfall is near one of the bridges on the map. Jump straight down to find a hidden cave with the gnome.

Boney Island

The second gnome can be found on the opposite end of the map. Look for a tile with a mushroom on it. Shoot this tile to reveal the garden gnome below.

Sandy Sands

The first gnome can be found above a door. It may be hidden inside of a vase that can be broken with a few shots of a weapon. Use a Peashooter with the hyper ability or a Foot Soldier with the rocket jump ability to reach it.

For the second gnome, head to the river and search for a tile with a mushroom on top of a column. The gnome will come out on a boat sailing down the river.

Colizeum

Look for a large, white statue head on Colizeum. The gnome is hidden within its mouth.

The second gnome is hidden within a vault. To find this vault you must find and shoot a tile with a mushroom on it, which is hidden on the side of a wall above a body of water. Jump off the edge of the map and shoot the tile before you hit the water to open up the hidden vault to the left of the tile.

Lunar Landing

The first garden gnome is within the co*ckpit of a crashed rocket ship on the corner of the map.

The second garden gnome is locked inside of a room within the large building. Look for a tile with a mushroom on it to the right of the large table. Shoot this tile to open up the door with the gnome at the bottom of the stairs.

Z-Tech Factory

The first gnome is sitting within a locker on one side of the map. The locker is out in the open, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Frosty Creek

Turf Takeover is a Multiplayer playlist that features a mix of the game modes Herbal Assault and Gardens & Graveyards. It's best to be on the attacking team so you can get all the gnome throughout the maps since you have to push forward from base to base. Start a solo game and set both teams to “None.” It will also make things easy if you put on super speed and zero gravity crazy settings. Each map has six gnomes.

Seeds of Time

The first gnome can be found inside of a gift shop to the right of the very first base. It's on the bottom of one of the shelves.

The second gnome can be found in the Zgypt area just before the third base. Head up to the gift shop and look for the gnome on one of the shelves.

The third gnome is in the Azia area before the fourth base. Stay along the left side of the map and shoot a tile above the building entrance. This will send out the gnome on a cloud.

The fourth gnome can be found in the Rome area before the fifth base. Look for another tile behind a small waterfall on the right side of the map. Shoot it to reveal the garden gnome in one of the gift shops above.

The fifth gnome is a short distance from the fourth gnome. It's on the side of the Colosseum, just above the entrance. It's best to have zero gravity and use a peashooter with the hyper ability or a foot soldier with the rocket jump ability to reach it.

The sixth gnome is located at the sixth base. You can only grab it if you're on the Plant's team. If you're playing solo, just switch teams and walk over to the forge (fire with metal tools nearby) to find the gnome inside the fire.

Great White North

The first gnome is hidden within a snowman. The snowman is located along the right side of the map after capturing the first base. Shoot the snowman to reveal the garden gnome inside.

The second gnome is hidden behind a breakable ice wall to the right of the third base. Look for the large zombie head made out of snow to find the wall inside. Shoot the wall or blow it up to reveal the hidden vault with the gnome.

The third gnome is also hidden behind a breakable ice wall. This ice wall is located beneath a bridge to the right of the fourth base. There are two breakable walls, so if you don't find it in one, it's in the other.

The fourth gnome is to the right of the previous bridge. Find the large, icy lake at the edge of the map. Jump on the ice platform and shoot the tile on the left to bring up the gnome on a rubber ducky.

The fifth gnome can be found as you climb up the mountain pass towards the fifth base. Stay along the left side of the map until you see a large crate. Jump down the cliff to the left of this crate to find a hidden cave with a garden gnome inside.

The sixth gnome can be found at the fifth base. Shoot the tile with the mushrooms on it to the right of the base. This will reveal the gnome at the top of a large rock near the entrance to the sixth base.

Moon Base Z

The first gnome can be found just before the first base. Look for a switch with mushrooms on it at the top of the mountains along the right side of the map. Shoot this tile to send the gnome from the sky.

The second gnome can be found inside the building just after the first base. Shoot the tile on the left side near a pile of junk to send out the gnome on top of the junk.

The third gnome can be found after capturing the second base. On the way to the third base, walk along the left side of the map and look for a small platform on the edge of the cliff. Jump down to find the garden gnome.

The fourth gnome can be found near the fourth base inside of a mine cart. It's near the back of the map.

The fifth gnome can also be found near the fourth base. Walk over to the large drill and jump down the right side to find a hidden path. Follow this path to a dead end. You should find another tile on the wall that can be shot to open up another hidden path to the garden gnome.

The sixth gnome is pretty much impossible to get unless you have super speed and zero gravity crazy settings on. It's located on a cliff to the right of the fifth base. Stand on the large, purple pipes and use a peashooter with the hyper ability to reach it.

Zomburbia

The first gnome is sitting behind a tree on the right side of the map near the plant spawn point. This is before the team breaks through the wall to the first base.

The second gnome is hidden inside of a garage in front of the second base. Look for a tile at the base of the house to the left of the garage door. Shoot the tile to open up the garage door and get the gnome inside.

The third gnome is sitting in a cage at Zom Park at the fourth base. One of the cages has a scorpion-looking creature, but the other cage is busted open and has nothing inside – other than the gnome.

The fourth gnome can be found inside of a grate just after the fourth base. Follow the path along the dock to find the grate to the right.

The fifth gnome is hidden behind a wooden wall in the house “Bat Frat.” This is just before the fifth base. Shoot the wall on the left to reveal the gnome.

The sixth gnome is hidden in the library of the sixth base. Jump down to the library from the main entrance and look for another tile near the left side of the room. Shoot the tile to reveal a hidden vault with the garden gnome.

After you have all 54 Garden Gnomes, head to the Chamber of the Gnomes in the sewer to open the large door in the back. Shoot yet another tile with mushrooms on it to reveal a hidden path to another room.
