Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 has a lot of collectibles and secrets. Golden Gnomes are among the things you can collect, but there is more to it.
If you collect at least 10 of these Golden Gnomes, you gain access to a secret area in the sewers. There are 54 total Golden Gnomes you can collect, but I'm only going to show you 10 of them since that's all you need to get to the secret room. 1. Garage - Plants Side
You can get this one as soon as you open up the garage as the first quest. Just go in, turn left, and it is sitting on a desk with a map on the wall.
2. Corn Portal - Plants Side
Go in then head towards the chest in the back and slightly left. When you reach it, turn right and you will see the gnome at the end.
3. Citron Portal - Plants Side
As soon as you enter, head straight across and you'll see the gnome on the left.
4. Super Brainz Portal - Zombies
Go to the back when you enter the room and you'll see it behind the big crystals.
5. Pirate Portal - Zombies
As you enter the room, head towards the Pirate, then turn right to enter his room. You'll see the gnome on a shelf near picture hanging on the wall.
6. Zombie's Base
If you are facing the backyard while in the zombie's base, head right. Next to the right entrance there is a gravestone with a Golden Gnome.
7. Basem*nt of Zombies Base
You need to get far enough in the story to unlock the pipe that leads to the basem*nt on the Zombies.
When you drop down, look right and jump on the rocks until you make it to the Golden Gnome.
8. Sewers
If you enter the sewers from the right side next to the flag of power, follow the path all the way down. Keep going across the planks until you reach the hallway on the other side.
Turn right and keep going until you see the closed gate and the Golden Gnome inside.
9. Soccer Field
The Soccer Field is to the right as you leave the Plants base. You will want to be either Super Brainz or Peashooter for this because you have to jump high.
When you reach the field, head towards the score board and get to the top of the bleachers. Jump with Super Brains or jump while using Hyper with the Peashooter to reach it. You have to hold the button to pick up while in the air.
10. Grate near the docks
As you are facing the water while at the docks, head right to see the grate with a Golden Gnome inside.
Unlock the Gnome Room
When you get 10 Golden Gnomes, you can unlock the secret Gnome Room in the sewers.
Head towards the alleys near the docks and you'll see a phone you can interact with. Answer it and it they will say they are watching to see if you are worthy. Answer it again and they will say that they left a key for you.
The key is actually an exploding gnome and it is on the docks. Pick it up and take it to the sewers. There is a gate across from the Target mini-game where you can place the gnome bomb.
Just follow the path after going through and you'll reach the secret gnome room. There are a couple of free chests to open when you get there, and a chest that costs 200 stars.The chest gives a crown that any character can wear. It also will say lines depending on what you are doing, such as winning or vanquish streaks.
